I used to gently but firmly massage my son’s tummy when he would get constipated. Circular motions - I think it’s clockwise if you’re facing them. Also, the prune baby food worked great too!

dark karo syrup:) 2 teaspoons in 6 oz of formula. makes it taste sweet and losens her up:) also they make suppositories (if you can do it) they are waxy like things you hold in her bum (hole….seriously) for a few min that softens and lubes up the poopy so it comes out. i have used both.

also prune juice, gerber makes it. try one and if you get no luck try another:) (dont dilute it like the doc says, it wont work if you do)

add 1/8 teaspoon white karo syrup to her milk bottle. i did this the whole time my son was on the bottle it kept his stool soft. this was something that was handed down in my family.

Remember when you were in Kindergarten and for exercise you’d have to do “the bicycle”?

Lay her on her back and put her knees up to her chest and peddle her legs like she’s riding a bike. Do it for several minutes and talk to her, laugh and sing. She’ll Love the attention and she will poo in no time, guaranteed.

It’s worked for both of my kids from time to time when they need a little “push”.

Good luck.

When my baby had a hard time pooping, I usually put a very warm towel on his tummy, just below his belly button and gently massage him through the towel.. he usually poop a couple of hour later. do it early in the morning or late afternoon. good luck

Infant suppositories can be found at any local grocery store in America and once again get formula with less iron, it causes gas and constipation but make sure you are in close contact with her pediatrician during this time.-Rachel.

Add a little bit of Karo syrup to her bottles. This works well. Or if she is eating baby food now, try giving her some prunes, applesauce, pears, or any of those juices.
Good Luck

I had to deal with the same problem when my son was 6 months old and he would have the same problem every now and then . Now he got better after the nurse gave me these advice.

When giving solid food, try giving only vegetables and skip the meats like pork, beef and fish. Eat more vegetables as they have loads of fiber. when he gets better, give her more vegetables over meat. eg:2/3 veges & 1/3 meat.

Meantime, also give her some fruit juice mixed with some water. Prune juice works well. You can also choose to give her fruit puree like papaya as papaya has loads of fiber so can help her problem.

Try 4 ounces of apple juice once a day. I had the same problem with my dd about that age and the pediatrician recommended this and it worked. And if I ran out and used other juices - it wouldn’t work the same. Give it a shot!
